The Winnebago County Highway Division received a CMAQ grant to build a bike path connecting the existing path in Cherry Valley to the trail heading north to Rock Cut State Park. In 2003, Paul Bednar worked alongside the consulting engineer, Willett Hoffman Associates, in order to assess various path location options. Four concept plans were developed for presentations to the committee and the community at public meetings. The firms responsibility was to identify options based upon good regional planning principles.
