Old Main Artifact Garden
Elgin, Illinois

The Elgin Area Historic Society is the operator of the Old Main Museum located in the Elgin Historic District. The museum grounds offer an opportunity to create an artifact garden, displaying some of the group's larger exhibits.

Paul Bednar Planning and Design, Ltd. prepared a concept plan for this garden as well as designed a identification sign with "historic character"  for the grounds. The Plan is currently being used for fund raising efforts. The grounds are in the process of being landscaped. The siting of outdoor exhibits will occur as funds allow.

Images and Illustrations include:  a photo of "Old Main" and the grounds; the master concept plan for the grounds; an elevation drawing of the proposed historic monument sign.
