Harvest Bible Chapel

Landscape architecture plans for Harvest Bible Chapel, a 78-acre church campus in Elgin, Illinois began in June 2003.  The elements of the final landscape plan are being installed in the fall of 2007.  

The following were key responsibilities of Paul Bednar Planning & Design, Ltd. for the Harvest project: 

Services included:

  • Concept plans for zoning approval
  • Construction documents for the landscape
  • Tree inventory survey of approximately 1,000 mature trees
  • Tree preservation plans
  • Wetland mitigation assistance
  • Site design assistance

Environmental Elements of the Plan:

  • Use of pervious pavers in parking areas
  • Use of bio-swales in parking lot islands
  • Enhancement of existing and new wetlands
  • Use of conservation easements
  • Wetland maintenance plan
  • Preservation of 20-250 year-old oaks
